Dear Reader, On the 23rd of August, a day after my last Midterm update was released, two special elections for the US House took place in New York. The results of those elections have widely been interpreted, by political analysts across political persuasions, as a source of concern for the Republicans. These pundits have warned that this midterm may not be a “Republican Wave” year but rather a neutral environment with competitive possibilities for both sides.
I wouldn’t be alarmingly worried about the 2 NY special election wins for Democrats. NY is as blue as it gets. I read somewhere that the margins of win were lower what the Democrats have seen in post. One of the race was a close call at 2000 votes. They should be worried about that margin
